Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical night shift position requiring an active VA or compact RN license and AHA BLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital
  • Night shifts available as either 3x12 or 4x12 hours, with shift times from 18 : 30 to 07 : 00
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • General orientation begins on Sundays and includes online CBLs
  • Travel nurses participate in nursing student support and clinical education
  • Travelers are expected to support and contribute to clinical education of nursing students alongside their clinical responsibilities
  • Orientation consists of 16 hours of nonbillable training, including 4-5 hours of online modules
  • No local candidates within a 100-mile radius will be considered
  • Candidates must be available for modules and fit testing as required
  • BSN required for international travelers

  • Active VA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
  • Traveler’s permanent residence must be at least 100 miles from the hospital’s service area
  • Labs and drug testing must be completed within 12-14 days prior to start
  • Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for fit testing per CDC guidelines
