Senior Water / Wastewater Engineer

Overview

ERG is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Senior Water / Wastewater Engineer to lead a variety of water infrastructure projects. You will have the opportunity to work directly with communities nationwide to assess infrastructure needs, develop projects, and access infrastructure funding. Your work will put communities on a path to addressing critical challenges in delivering clean, safe drinking water and protecting water quality.

Base pay range : $110,000.00 / yr - $170,000.00 / yr

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, and analysts in providing technical assistance to municipalities for the planning and design of drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects in small, under-resourced communities.
• Independently assess community water or wastewater infrastructure needs, develop clear, well-documented planning documents and technical reports (e.g., Preliminary Engineering Reports), and deliver preliminary and detailed project designs to support infrastructure funding.
• Lead meetings with community stakeholders to gather relevant information and facilitate project support and buy-in.
• Support a variety of projects, including assessing and promoting innovative water and wastewater treatment technologies, evaluating design, cost, and environmental impacts, and supporting efforts to reduce PFAS and other emerging contaminants.
• Mentor junior and mid-level staff as a subject matter expert.
