Master Control Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Master Control Operator (MCO) to join our broadcast operations team. This vital role ensures the accuracy, quality, and compliance of our broadcast signals-from live programming to pre-recorded content. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, solving technical issues in real time, and maintaining a high standard of broadcast excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

• Monitor and Control Broadcast Signals : Oversee on-air and cable broadcast signals to ensure high-quality transmission. Follow daily program logs, air scheduled content and breaks, monitor transmitter output, and resolve any on-air issues that arise.
• Support Content Ingestion and Scheduling : Record programming from satellite feeds, ingest media from various sources, and assist with traffic operations to prepare future broadcasts.
• Ensure Compliance and Documentation : Maintain accurate logs and reports, including transmitter logs, discrepancy logs, incident reports, and satellite recording reports to ensure regulatory compliance and clear interdepartmental communication.
• Assist with On-Air Promotion : Perform basic editing of promotional content, interstitials, and support traffic-related promotional functions as needed.
• Professional Development : Stay current with industry trends and technical skills through self-directed learning, professional networking, and required training as directed by the Chief Engineer - TV.
