Job Description

As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers. You will support the multi-enclave environment (Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret / SCI) that enables users to collaboratively perform their work using a variety of tools and applications.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must possess an active TS clearance at the time of application, be willing and able to obtain SCI access, and pass a CI polygraph.
  • This position is onsite 5 days a week in Chantilly, VA

Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration
  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
  • Experience with virtualization technologies
  • Understanding of security requirements in government environments
  • Required Technical Skills

  • OS : Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux (Rocky, RedHat, Ubuntu, Amazon), Mac
  • Virtualization : VSphere, VXRail, Proxmox, Nutanix
  • Infra Mgmt : LDAP / OpenLDAP, ADFS, Keycloak, WSUS / WDS
  • Networking : Cisco, Arista, SonicWall appliances
  • Monitoring / Logging : Splunk, Elasticsearch
  • Cloud & Infra : AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S; Docker, Kubernetes; Terraform (IaC)
  • Other : Security hardening, accreditation, backup / recovery, incident resolution SLAs
  • Preferred Skills

  • Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Windows Active Directory
  • Virtualization technologies (VSphere, VXRail, Proxmox)
  • Basic network configuration and troubleshooting
  • System monitoring and performance tuning
  • Backup and recovery procedures
  • Security patching and updates
  • Basic scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
  • Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain operating system workstations and servers
  • Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
  • Schedule installations and upgrades in accordance with established IT policies and procedures
  • Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels
  • Ensure workstation / server data integrity by implementing appropriate software and hardware solutions
  • Ensure data / media recoverability through system backups and database archive operations
  • Develop and promote standard operating procedures
  • Conduct routine hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with standards and configurations
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration databases
  • Support analytical tool infrastructure
  • Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities
  • Respond to and resolve critical incidents within designated resolution timelines
