Seasonal Full Time Bell Ringer

Job Location : ALM-Coastal AL Area Command - Mobile, AL

Salary Range : $14.00 - $15.00 Hourly

Travel Percentage : Up to 25%

About This Opportunity

Schedule / Hours : Days / hours vary.

This position is responsible for :

Recruits, trains, coordinates, and monitors the work of employee and volunteer bell ringers ensuring ample staff to meet location needs; prepares records and reports regarding the same.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Plans, schedules, and assigns work of staff & volunteers. Instructs them in proper methods & procedures for seasonal work.
  • Maintains up-to-date records for daily kettle income information. Assists with scheduling kettle workers & volunteers and assigning their locations.
  • Drive Salvation Army vehicle(s) to deliver & collect kettles and supplies to kettle locations and workers.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

  • Work is performed in and out of the office and in a wide variety of weather conditions. Dressing appropriately is important for remaining safe and comfortable.
  • Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
  • Duties include driving to and from kettle locations 50-75% of work time.
  • Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying equipment (less than 40lbs.) 5-10% of work time.

    • What We Are Looking For In You

  • Valid State Driver's License required.
  • High School Diploma or GED and
  • One year experience working with kettle fund raising programs preferred or
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
