What You'll Do
As a Psychiatry Physician, you will :
- Manage admissions and medical treatment for patients in assigned units.
- Collaborate with the medical director to establish treatment goals and philosophies.
- Provide direct clinical care and ensure quality through active involvement in quality assurance activities.
- Supervise and mentor clinical staff, fostering a supportive environment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Your Responsibilities
Clinical Skills :
Lead the development of individualized, multidisciplinary treatment plans.Conduct comprehensive assessments and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress.Provide expert consultation to medical staff on complex patient care issues.Assess readiness for discharge and recommend aftercare.Quality of Care :
Oversee patient safety and quality of care on the unit.Lead quality improvement initiatives and engage staff in continuous enhancements.Resolve patient issues promptly to improve care outcomes.Communication & Collaboration :
Foster a collaborative environment with the multidisciplinary team.Communicate effectively with patients and families, ensuring understanding.Coordinate care across service lines with other leaders.Professionalism :
Demonstrate empathy and respect in all interactions.Respond promptly to team and patient needs.Promote a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.Compliance :
Ensure adherence to all compliance standards and documentation requirements.Monitor training compliance for all team members.Leadership :
Lead evidence-based practices and team engagement initiatives.Manage and appraise clinical staff, providing feedback and support.Participate in educational training for residents and fellows.Unit / Program Management :
Collaborate on treatment goals and staffing models aligned with our mission.Support marketing and outreach activities for unit growth.Optimize bed capacity and support budgetary goals.What You’ll Get From Us

What We Need From You
Three years of experience preferred, including training in an acute psychiatric setting.Completion of a residency training program and child psychiatry fellowship (if applicable).Active medical license in Maryland and board certification in Psychiatry.Experience leading care teams in an acute behavioral care setting.Strong communication skills and a solutions-oriented approach.Proficiency in EMR systems and HIPAA compliance.Working Conditions
