Position : Connex Software Engineer

The IP Coding Coordinator collaborates with management to ensure the highest coder quality through a variety of responsibilities. These include oversight and participation in the internal and external quality reviews as outlined in the HIM Coding Department Compliance Plan and supported by Official Coding Guidelines and the internal inpatient coding guidelines. The IP Coding Coordinator is assigned specific duties in one or more of the major areas of responsibility listed below. In addition, this position monitors coding workflows and work queues for timely and accurate completion of charts while troubleshooting issues that cause delays in chart completion.

Job Responsibilities :

• Conducts audits and provides feedback to Quality department, medical staff and coding staff on quality issues found on internal and external coding reviews and audits (including RAC, DRG denials, HAC, PSI, etc.).
• Monitors the MD clarification process to ensure queries are written compliantly and MD response is timely.
• Overseas and processes the DRG and Clinical Denials and educates coding and CDE staff of trends and findings.
• Successfully processes Combines and Uncombines and works with other departments to resolve related issues.
• Assists management in the development, implementation and monitoring of inpatient coding guidelines, policies and procedures while serving as a resource to coding staff.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Documentation Excellence Department to improve provider documentation.
• Performs required and requested quality reviews of inpatient coding.
• Monitors coders and coordinator work queues while identifying and troubleshooting issues.
• Provides coverage for the coding area as needed to meet coding goals while adhering to all coding guidelines.
• Successfully uses EPIC, 3M products and Microsoft Office software.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

A multifaceted Authorization Processing (AP) software developer position with a high degree of responsibility and a broad spectrum of opportunities.

What you will be doing

Assigned to a scrum team consisting of project manager / scrum master, developers, business analysts, and quality control testers.

Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, modifies, and unit tests software enhancements and / or new products.

Takes personal responsibility for quality of individual deliverables and contributes to the quality assurance of the team's deliverables.

Interacts with product managers and / or users to define system requirements and / or modifications.

Participates in all Agile team meetings and ceremonies.

Creates and revises all technical documentation related to coding and development.

Trains new or junior developers on aspects of an application or system and development processes.

What you bring

Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

Experience with HP NonStop / Tandem development with skills in performing requirement analysis, design, and coding in Connex or Base24.

Programming experience with TAL, pTAL, COBOL, SCOBOL.

Experience with Pathway, Enscribe, and SQL systems.

Business knowledge and understanding of Debit Card payment processing environment and ATM transactions.

Experience with Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprises (SAFe).

Attention to detail, diligence, and accuracy.

Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external clients.
