Storie Co. is a hospitality and real estate investment company that owns and operates a growing portfolio of resorts across the Midwest. Our properties include amenities like ski hills, golf courses and many other outdoor leisure activities.
We are looking for a Social Media Manager to oversee and grow the social media presence for all Storie Co. brands, including the corporate brand and every property we own. This role combines creative content production, data‑driven strategy, and community engagement. You will serve as the central voice for our portfolio, ensuring each property’s unique personality is showcased while driving toward overall business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute social media strategies for all Storie Co. properties and the corporate brand.
- Use social media to support broader business objectives, including guest acquisition, retention, event promotion, and revenue growth.
- Align strategies with the customer journey, tailoring content to attract, engage, and convert audiences.
- Personally capture high‑quality photos and short‑form video content at properties, including lifestyle, event, and behind‑the‑scenes footage using professional or prosumer equipment.
- Have a working knowledge of sound, lighting, and composition to create visually compelling and brand‑aligned assets.
- Perform light to moderate editing of photos and videos for social media use, such as cropping, color correction, trimming, adding captions, and basic motion graphics.
- Use tools like Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva to create social media graphics, layouts, and templates.
- Work with outside professional photographers, videographers, and designers when larger‑scale productions are required, managing the creative process and ensuring deliverables fit our brand standards.
- Monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, and reviews across all accounts promptly and professionally.
- Identify, vet, and manage relationships with influencers, content creators, and community partners who align with each property’s target audience.
- Coordinate influencer visits, campaigns, and cross‑promotions to increase reach and engagement.
- Track performance for each property’s accounts, analyzing engagement, reach, and conversions.
- Provide monthly performance reports and use data to inform content and campaign decisions.
- Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates, and emerging formats to keep Storie Co. properties fresh and competitive.
Qualifications
Three or more years managing multiple social media accounts for hospitality, tourism, or multi‑brand organizations.Experience capturing original photo and video content, including a basic understanding of lighting, sound, and composition.Ability to edit social media‑ready content using tools such as Adobe Premiere Rush, CapCut, Photoshop, Lightroom, or Canva.Familiarity with social media design principles, typography, and brand alignment. Formal graphic design training is a plus but not required.Proven experience in influencer identification, outreach, and campaign coordination.Strong understanding of the buyer journey and how to use social media to meet business and marketing objectives.Comfortable using scheduling tools such as Later, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social, and analytics tools such as Meta Business Suite or Google Analytics.Excellent writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different brands and audiences.Willingness to travel regularly to properties for on‑site content creation.What We Offer
