Remote Certified Risk Coder

A company is looking for a Remote HCC Coder.

Key Responsibilities :

Review provider and vendor medical records and health risk assessments for accurate diagnosis and CPT coding

Validate coding data within medical records to ensure compliance with CMS and organizational standards

Capture and document diagnosis and CPT codes found in medical records

Qualifications :

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Risk Coder (CRC) required

Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, or related field preferred

Minimum 2 years of recent HCC / Risk Adjustment coding experience

Extensive knowledge of ICD-9 / 10, CPT, CMS coding guidelines, and HEDIS measures

Strong understanding of medical terminology, disease processes, and pharmacology
