Network Automation Engineer

Overview

Akkodis is seeking a Network Automation Engineer for a contract with a client in Plano, TX (Remote). This role requires hands-on experience in automating large-scale network environments using Python, Ansible, and Arista EOS.

Rate Range : $35 / hour to 37 / hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation frameworks and playbooks using Python, Ansible, and Arista EOS to provision and monitor large-scale network topologies.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI / CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and ensure high-quality deployments.
• Develop reusable modules and device classes for scalable network configuration and validation.
• Build monitoring dashboards and telemetry systems using tools like Grafana, Splunk, and cloud-native solutions.
• Troubleshoot automation failures, perform root cause analysis, and publish actionable bug reports.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver secure, self-service automation platforms and maintain performance, availability, and scalability.
