Production Manager

Overview

Conner Industries, Inc. is a rapidly growing manufacturer and distributor in the industrial lumber, custom wood packaging, and integrated packaging markets. The company operates 17 manufacturing facilities and is positioned among leading market players.

Base pay range

$60,000.00 / yr - $70,000.00 / yr

Salary : $60,000-$80,000 / yr

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall coordination of the plant production process to optimize the use of all resources in meeting and / or exceeding established plant goals.
• Work on the production floor as an energetic leader to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency are trending in the right direction.
• Schedule all production, oversee the cut and assembly process, and act as a "traffic director" to ensure the plant meets production requirements and the end-customer's expectations.
• Prepare order documents for shipping and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, Lean and Six Sigma.
• Establish and communicate departmental expectations, lead and motivate team members, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide team leadership aligned with the company vision and mission; ensure policies are followed and provide guidance and discipline as needed.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve maximum performance and plant goals; set individual goals for team members and conduct periodic performance reviews.
• Maintain a safe and productive work environment, including housekeeping.
• Identify and implement improvements in processes and operations.
• Perform other tasks as directed by the Plant Manager.

Qualifications, Education & Experience

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may stand, sit, or kneel. The role requires manual dexterity, reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, and repetitive motions. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 40 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close and peripheral vision.

Work Environment

Partial indoor and partial outdoor manufacturing environment. Moderate to high noise levels, with hearing protection and PPE required. Exposure to weather conditions as applicable.
