Job Description

Controller 5 – Sanmina Corporation (Nasdaq : SANM) is a leading integrated manufacturing solutions provider serving the fastest-growing segments of the global Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) market and related components such as Machining, Metal Fabrication, Plastics, Cables, Printed Circuit Boards, and others. Sanmina provides end-to-end manufacturing solutions across key sectors including communications networks, defense and aerospace, industrial and semiconductor systems, medical, multimedia, computing and storage, automotive and clean technology. Facilities are located in key regions worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and directs the activities of professional staff involving the financial aspects of regional operations including financial forecasting, planning, budgeting, credit and collections, cost accounting, and financial control systems.
  • Manages and directs staff to conduct all routine procedures and duties associated with the regional controller organization.
  • Provides advice and counsel to regional operating management to ensure optimum performance of the region.
  • Interprets financial data to influence, recommend, or impel management decisions consistent with company objectives.
  • Sets up and monitors systems of internal control consistent with direction from the Group Controller and Manager of Tax & Treasury.
  • Monitors regional credits and collections.
  • Prepares financial projections and status reports to regional and corporate management and coordinates discussions with corporate management on financial matters.
  • Identifies and implements programs that control financial risk, including programs established by the Group Controller and Manager of Tax & Treasury.
  • Develops and implements systems to control manufacturing operation costs and maintain systems to monitor product lines and customer profitability.

Education And Experience

  • BA or equivalent plus 10 or more years of related experience.
  • Manufacturing environment experience strongly desired.
  • Analytical, organizational planning, communication, budgeting, and forecasting abilities; ability to work independently in a changing environment.
  • International experience is not required or would be an asset.
  • Experience in Contract Metal Fabrication, Machining, or other component-level manufacturing industries.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Strong presentation / interpersonal skills and ability to deal at an Executive level.
  • Confident and hands-on personality with strong problem solving and issue management skills.
  • Experience with fully integrated manufacturing and financial IT systems (Oracle Experience Preferred).
  • CPA or CMA preferred.
