Position Summary

This position is responsible for supporting operations by performing routine accounting functions. This position will also assist in month-end close and variance review processes, assist with troubleshooting, identify and implement process improvements, and support the completion of department projects.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

• Four-year college degree in Accounting or Business (with an emphasis in Accounting) or unrelated four-year college degree plus 4 years of financial industry experience, or 6 plus years of financial industry accounting experience.
• Experience using 10 key calculating and other keyboard equipment
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic math and accounting principles
• Intermediate level computer skills in Excel and Word
• Good analytical and research skills
• Good organizational skills
• Good writing and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Excel and Symitar experience highly preferred
• Works independently
• Interpersonal skills
• The ability to process a large volume of work within tight deadlines and with a high level of proficiency and accuracy

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; to reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
