Job Description
As an Inventory Analyst, you'll be a key contributor to the accuracy and integrity of our inventory accounting processes. Working remotely with the Inventory Accounting Team-including the Manager, Team Leader, and Senior Cost Accountant-you'll support day-to-day operations such as reconciliations, transaction posting, and issue resolution. This role requires strong attention to detail, comfort working with large data sets, and the ability to operate independently in a fully remote environment. You will initially focus on GR / IR reconciliation for both SAP S / 4HANA and historical JD Edwards E1 data, including troubleshooting directly in the JDE environment. A strong theoretical understanding of the document flow from goods receipt through accounting and payment resolution is essential. The role will support international locations, especially LATAM, which continue to operate in JD Edwards.
- Perform and review inventory reconciliations between subledger and general ledger, with initial focus on LATAM regions still operating in JD Edwards
- Investigate discrepancies in inventory quantities and values across plants, storage locations, and consignment sites
- Support GR / IR reconciliation processes across SAP and JD Edwards, ensuring resolution of aged items and proper accounting flow
- Troubleshoot issues in JD Edwards related to historical inventory and GR / IR data
- Support month-end close activities, including checklist execution and documentation for SOX compliance
- Assist with integrity reports and inventory validation tasks tied to profit center reorganizations and other strategic initiatives
- Collaborate with offshore teams and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure timely processing
- Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits
- Maintain and enhance reporting tools and queries (e.g., Excel, Showcase, Blackline)
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in routine inventory tasks
- Perform ad hoc analysis to support business decisions and operational needs
