Human Resources Manager
Echelon Fitness Multimedia is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Human Resources Manager to oversee all aspects of HR operations. This is a standalone role, responsible for developing and managing core HR processes that support the organization and its people. The ideal candidate will bring strong generalist expertise, management experience, sound judgment, and a steady, professional presence. This position plays a key role in maintaining compliance, promoting employee wellbeing, and creating a fair, consistent, and supportive work environment. Supports a remote workforce located both remotely in most states, in offices in Chattanooga, TN and Orlando, FL, and a studio in Miami, FL.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all HR matters across the company.
- Partner with leadership to align HR practices with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance and clarity.
- Lead full-cycle recruiting and selection efforts for all roles.
- Create consistent and equitable hiring processes.
- Oversee onboarding and orientation to help new employees transition smoothly.
- Provide confidential guidance and coaching to employees and managers.
- Address workplace concerns promptly and fairly.
- Support initiatives that promote employee wellbeing, engagement, and work-life balance.
- Administer employee benefits, including health, wellness, 401(k), and leave programs.
- Partner with Finance to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Manage HRIS and employee recordkeeping.
- Coordinate performance review cycles and assist with goal-setting.
- Identify and recommend professional development opportunities.
- Support a culture of accountability, wellness, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.5+ years of broad HR experience, including employee relations, benefits, and compliance.Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Experience with HRIS and payroll systems required.SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification preferred.
