COMPENSATION : VARIES BY EXPERIENCE

$ 75 / HR FOR CANDIDATES WITH 1 – 2 YEARS ESTATE PLANNING EXPERIENCE

$ 85 / HR FOR CANDIDATES WITH 3 – 4 YEARS ESTATE PLANNING EXPERIENCE

$ 100 / HR FOR CANDIDATES WITH 5 YEARS + ESTATE PLANNING EXPERIENCE

SCHEDULE :

Part -time ; 1099 10 –15 hours per week

Set a weekly schedule between 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM CDT

LOCATION :

Hybrid; Work from Home + 2- 3 in person client meetings in North San Antonio, Texas

We're hiring a thoughtful , experienc ed part-time attorney to support our client-centered estate planning practice in San Antonio, Texas.

Key Responsibilities with Success Metrics

Drafting and Legal Review

Draft and review estate planning documents including revocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and advance health care directives using firm templates and WealthCounsel software. Provide insightful edits and ensure all documents meet legal standards and client goals.

Success Metric : 100% of assigned documents delivered on time and meeting internal QA standards with minimal revision required .

Client Consultations

Conduct Initial Client Meetings with prospective clients, Design Meetings with clients, and Review Meetings to explain drafted plan documents to clients. Collaborate with team to ensure documents reflect client wishes and legal compliance.

Success Metric : Available for consultation 3-5 times per week, with 85% close rate for initial consultations referred from referral partner, and high client satisfaction feedback from assigned matters.

Trust and Probate Support (As Needed)

Support the team in reviewing trust administration and probate matters. Provide clear legal guidance to clients and internal staff.

Success Metric s :

  • Review and acknowledge assigned matters within 24 hours of receipt
  • Provide comprehensive response to staff and clients within 72 hours of acknowledgement

Contract Attorney Ideal Candidate Characteristics

  • Licensed Texas attorney in good standing
  • 3+ years of experience in Texas estate planning law, familiar with revocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, special needs trusts, and trust funding concepts
  • Experience using Wealth Counsel preferred or similar drafting platforms
  • Must be tech-savvy and comfortable learning and using new software platforms, including cloud-based legal tools, CRMs, and document management systems
  • Spanish fluency preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills
