Job Description

Department : Ride Operations Title : Shuttle Driver Employment Type : Temporary Status : Non-Exempt Grade Level : Hourly Pay Rate : $17.00 per hour Reports To : Supervisor Schedule : Must be able to work weekends and holidays; weekday hours also available Hours : 9 : 30 am 5 : 00 pm, dependent on weather and guest attendance; schedule subject to change through the spring and summer Position Summary Shuttle Drivers operate the Bronx Zoo shuttle, ensuring that our guests enjoy a safe and fun experience. A valid Driver's License is mandatory Responsibilities Providing excellent service to guests, including maintaining general knowledge of park attractions and amenities, answering questions and finding ways to create a great guest experience, in accordance with WCS standards of guest service Helping guests enter and exit shuttle with special attention to children, elderly, and disabled patrons Maintaining order among guests waiting to enter shuttle and safely admitting the appropriate number of guests in a timely manner Monitoring area and communicating with guests to ensure their safety Maintaining cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas as instructed Completing other assignments and helping others on the team as required Assist as needed with Event Programming events and special projects Locations Bronx Zoo EOE, M / F / D / V

Qualification Requirements

Qualifications Minimum age of 18 years or older Valid driver's license required Customer service orientation Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment Ability to work outdoors remaining at assigned posts for long periods of time in a variety of weather conditions Ability to frequently move objects weighing up to 50 pounds Dependability and reliability Preferred Qualifications Prior customer service experience Previous Experience speaking in front of large groups or audiences Fluent in English. Bilingual preferred, not required EOE, M / F / D / V #LI-DNI

Salary Range

$17.00 / hr
