KLR Executive Search Group is partnering with a well-established New England law firm seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join its trusts and estates practice. The team represents significant charities, overseeing estate administration through probate and related processes.
Responsibilities
- Review and manage donors' wills, trusts, beneficiary designations, and related documents.
- Independently draft, review, and edit legal documents such as waivers, receipts, and releases.
- Communicate with financial institutions, fiduciaries, and attorneys to facilitate timely collection and administration of estate assets.
- Monitor and track estate and trust administration progress, maintaining accurate case management records.
- Prepare acknowledgment letters or releases confirming receipt of funds.
- Collaborate with attorneys, team members, and clients, providing support on client reporting and special projects.
- Mentor junior paralegals and assist with internal training programs.
Qualifications
Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred.3+ years of trusts and estates paralegal experience.Strong knowledge of trusts and estates administration, probate, and charitable estate planning.Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with case management software preferred.Highly proactive, able to manage multiple priorities, and a collaborative team player.After a month of on-site training, remote work may be allowed to work remotely up to three days per week at the supervisor's discretion. Office Hours : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM.
