Role Summary - Credentialing Specialist

Oversee the end-to-end credentialing and re-credentialing process for healthcare providers (physicians, NPs, PAs, etc.).

Gather, verify, and validate licenses, certifications, and other required documentation.

Prepare and submit credentialing applications to payers, hospitals, and regulatory agencies while tracking progress.

Maintain up-to-date records in credentialing systems and provider files.

Monitor upcoming expirations and proactively manage renewal timelines.

Serve as a key contact between providers, payers, and internal teams to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Support audits and ensure adherence to NCQA, CMS, and other regulatory standards.

Preferred Background

Minimum of 2 years in credentialing, provider enrollment, or medical staff services.

Knowledge of credentialing guidelines and healthcare compliance requirements.

Experience with credentialing software and platforms (CAQH, Availity, etc.).

Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
