Overview : Generalist preferred -Sysmex, ACLTop350, Beckman coulter, GEM 5000, Cepheid and Tube method for Blood bank Ratio : Scrub Color : Burgundy Charting System : MedHost

Additional Information

Overview :

Performs testing and quality control procedures as a generalist in all operational departments relevant to the site and shift of hire. Operates instrumentation, prepares reagents and reports results according to established policies and procedures. Performs all testing under the supervision of a Laboratory Department Manager, Laboratory Site Manager / Supervisor or Lead Technologist. Communicates with nursing / physicians regarding patient results and assist in various projects as needed. Must be able to work independently.

Specialty : Min 3 year exp.

Weekend / schedule : every other

Holiday : 1 per contract if needed

RTO : no more than 3 days

Generalist Preferred

Blood Bank experience

Equipment : Siemens, Syntex

Education & Certification :

Associate of Science in laboratory science preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent with 50-week military training as Medical Lab Specialist or graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory or Clinical Laboratory training program.

3 years clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Certification / Licensure :

ASCP

NJ Licensure

Knowledge & Skills :

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
