Position Summary

The Intake Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the patient intake process for sleep-related products such as CPAP machines and accessories. This role involves coordinating with healthcare providers, scheduling consultations, and providing customer service support to ensure a seamless and efficient process while delivering the highest level of patient care.

Position Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of the admission process to UI Sleep Solutions services including reviewing admissions / intake forms with patients and / or family, entering patient information to / from EMR & billing platforms, and verifications and explanation of insurance benefits.
• Collaborates with referral sources to ensure adequate documentation is received for patient’s coverage and benefits.
• Communicates with patients regarding ongoing supply needs and assists with the creation of delivery tickets based on patient needs.
• Manages on-going documentation requirements including signed delivery tickets and / or tracking numbers based on patient requests, yearly documentation requirements, compliance reports, and patient documentation.
• Perform general receptionist duties and customer service.
• Understand and dispense items requested within the store, manage cash and credit card payments, and post accurately.
• Maintains knowledge of and comply with payer and regulatory standards related to CPAP and BiLevel CPAP.
• Actively participates in UICH quality assurance programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Expected Work Hours and Location

General hours, Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 6 : 00 p.m. and Fridays 8 : 00 a.m. – 4 : 00 p.m. This position is 100% on-site at our Iowa City Sleep Solutions office. Days and hours are subject to change with notice.
