The Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Mohs Surgeon during procedures, ensuring a smooth surgical workflow, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing post-operative care instructions to patients. This role involves assisting in patient preparation, procedural support, wound care, and documentation. The Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant is also responsible for maintaining surgical instruments, processing pathology specimens, and ensuring compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards. Additionally, this role may require cross-training in the Mohs laboratory to assist with tissue processing as needed.
Schedule : 40 hours per week Monday - Friday 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm

Responsibilities
Prepare exam and procedure rooms for Mohs micrographic surgery and other surgical and medical visits, ensuring proper setup of procedural instruments and efficient clinic flow.
Schedule pre- and post-operative appointments and assist with patient inquiries.
Records required information in compliance logs (pathology, biopsy, laboratory, temperature).
May be required to cross-train in the Mohs laboratory to fulfill histotechnology components to the extent allowed by state specific CLIA requirements.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
