Quality Control Technician

My client in the high-tech electronics industry is hiring for a Quality Control Technician. The person will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of products; first article inspections; interpret drawings, BOMs (bill of materials), and customer documentation; and perform other duties in alignment with IPC 600 / 610 and J Standard 001.

This is a Day Shift, Temp.-to-Perm Contract position. Direct Hire for the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities :

• Perform mechanical and visual inspections in receiving inspection
• First article inspection of parts and report discrepancies
• Perform quality audits using drawings and BOM documentation to maintain product standards
• Conduct final inspections to verify materials, processes, and overall quality before shipment
• Document all acceptances and discrepancies
• Coordinate with various departments : engineering, production, sales, and customer service
• Maintain quality records for evaluation of performance outside vendors and throughout internal processes
• Ensure compliance with customer documentation and report any in-process issues or discrepancies according to IPC standards

Qualifications

IPC 610 Certification Required

Familiar with ISO9001, AS9100, or ISO13485 processes preferred
