Shift : Full-time 2nd shift position Monday - Friday 5pm - 1 : 30am
Position Purpose
All KHI employees are expected to perform their respective tasks and duties in such a way that supports KHI's vision of providing the region's best clinical care and patient service through an environment that fosters respect for others and pride in performance.
The Environmental Services Supervisor supports the Environmental Services Director with the day-to-day functions of the department to include : the staffing and management of team members, the management of resources and supplies, and all tasks impacting the physical appearance and total environment of care.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all areas are maintained in a manner compliant with all Federal, State, organizational, and departmental goals, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate day-to-day assignments and activities for the Environmental Services team members.
- Manage team members' schedules, training, evaluations, performance improvement plans, competencies, and employee records to ensure compliance with designated objectives.
- Round with team members, including during varied shifts.
- Round and collaborate with Kingman Healthcare, Inc. (KHI) management regularly to achieve cost, quality and regulatory objectives while meeting KHI strategic and operational objectives.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all applicable safety regulations.
- Use and dispose of waste, including medical and biohazard waste, according to federal, state, organizational, and departmental guidelines.
- Manage supplies according to federal, state, organizational, and departmental guidelines.
- Comply with all federal, state, organizational, and departmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in on-going process improvement within the organization and department.
- Plan and participate in department meetings and mandatory hospital training.
- Consistently demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes in the workload.
- Report problems to Director.
- Under the supervision of the Director, works with designated vendors and industry professional groups to keep the department up to date on relevant technologies, equipment, and compliance solutions to better serve the KHI community.
Qualifications
Licenses : Valid AZ Driver's License and clean driving recordExperience : Minimum of two (2) years experience in a lead or supervisory role in housekeeping / environmental servicesSkills and Knowledge : Housekeeping technical skills and understanding of all aspects pertaining to housekeeping and infection controlEducation : Advanced education / degree in management or relevant field of studyCertification / Licensure : Certified Hospitality Housekeeping Executive (CHHE) or other similar professional certification in housekeeping managementExperience : Hospital EVS experience preferredWork Requirements
Must be able to lift / carry 50 lb. occasionally, 10-25 lb. frequently, and up to 10 lb. constantly.Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, climb and reach above shoulders, push and pull, and perform fine motor functions for the entire scheduled shift (8+ hours).Must possess functional vision, hearing, and speech in order to communicate effectively with all co-workers, patients, and hospital visitors.Approximately 80% of time spent rounding, directly supervising employees on all campuses, assisting team members, and interacting with all departments, etc.Must be able to drive : requires travel to various KHI properties to complete duties.Detail
