DRAFTER

SUMMARY :

Prepares drawings of existing facilities, renovations, and new construction based on verbal instructions, sketches, and / or other formal documents.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Prepare floor plans, site plans, and / or other drawings for small construction and minor alteration projects utilizing drafting techniques, equipment, and technology.
• Perform inspections of existing facilities to determine and verify structural details.
• Read and interpret original concept drawings and / or blueprints.
• Assist in cost estimates.
• Communicate with customers, salesmen, and contractors.
• Attend and participate in company-sponsored training, when required.

Perform other assigned duties, responsibilities, or tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS : A Drafter must :

Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software.
