Overview : Position Summary
Manages resources and provides leadership to ensure smooth and coordinated daily operations
Oversees and continuously improves core processes within the MR department
Leads the professional growth and development of team members through education, training, mentoring, and guidance
Assists physicians with diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and operating MR equipment to obtain diagnostic scans
Responsible for MR Safety, accreditation, and regulatory compliance
Spends approximately 75% of time in the patient care area

Education
High School Diploma or GED, required
Associate Degree, preferred
Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required
Experience
Minimum of three years of experience in MR, required
Minimum of two years of supervisory experience, required
Licensure / Certification
Certified and registered by ARRT in MR RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required
Magnetic Resonance Safety Certified by ABMRS MRSO (MRSC), preferred
IV Credentialed, required
Applicable state license, required

Ability to self-direct and coordinate simultaneous job functions
Flexibility to adapt to fluctuating workloads
Thorough knowledge, skills, and technical expertise in MRI equipment and operation
Ability to perform procedures and train team members effectively
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Strong knowledge of MRI safety, MRI procedures, accreditation, and compliance requirements
Familiarity with state and federal regulations (Medicare, HIPAA, etc.)
Strong analytical and computer skills
