Position Summary

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeper Crew Leader will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, coordination, execution of the cleaning and clean-up activities at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex and all other of its venues and any assigned spaces. Along with other custodial full and part-time staff, and contractors, this person will work and oversee other housekeeping crew workers to complete assigned tasks.

This role pays an hourly rate of $22.00-$25.00

The Greensboro Complex is a versatile multi-building facility that serves the community of Greensboro and its surrounding areas. It hosts a wide array of events, such as athletic competitions, cultural arts showcases, concerts, theater performances, educational activities, fairs, exhibits, as well as public and private gatherings, including conventions, convocations, trade shows, and consumer shows. It plays a crucial role as a hub of community activities and significantly contributes to the regional economy. The Complex is made up of nine venues, the largest being the renowned 22,000-seat First Horizon Coliseum, which has a storied history of hosting prestigious ACC and NCAA basketball championships, and a concert history featuring legendary artists like Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, and Elvis Presley, as well as today's biggest artists like Drake, Bad Bunny, and Taylor Swift. As one of the most actively booked facilities in the country, the Greensboro Complex annually hosts over 1,100 events. Its extraordinary flexibility and reputation have earned it worldwide acclaim among promoters, producers, event planners, and patrons alike.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day cleaning operations. Coordinate the Housekeeping Team to assure tasks are completed in a timely fashion in accordance with instructions.
• Perform inspections of tasks performed by Housekeeping Team.
• Assist in training new team members on required tasks established by the department.
• Assist with supervision of full-time and part-time staff in the absence of Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Lead Housekeeping Team and participate in performing a wide variety of housekeeping tasks such as trash removal, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, sweeping, polishing, waxing, mopping, etc.
• Report unsatisfactory or dangerous situations which cannot be immediately corrected to appropriate authority.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
