Trident Consulting is seeking a " DevOps SME / Architect " for one of our clients in " Richmond VA

Job Title : DevOps SME / Architect

Location : Richmond VA

Job Type : Full-Time

Onsite / Hybrid : 5 Days Onsite

Experience : 15 plus for SME's / Architects

Job Description : SME

  • Over 15 years of experience in design and implement enterprise-grade DevOps architectures with a focus on scalability, security, and automation.
  • Develop and manage Terraform modules for provisioning cloud infrastructure across AWS environments.
  • Architect and optimize CI / CD pipelines using GitLab CI / CD and UrbanCode Deploy (UCD).
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into Java and Python-based applications.
  • Write and maintain automation scripts using YAML, Golang, and other relevant .
  • Ensure infrastructure and application deployments are secure, repeatable, and compliant with best practices.
  • Lead performance tuning, monitoring, and incident response strategies across environments.
  • Stay current with emerging DevOps tools, cloud technologies, and industry trends.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Proven experience with GitLab CI / CD and UrbanCode Deploy (UCD).
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, YAML, and Golang scripting.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
