CNC Machinist

Javin Machine Corp. is seeking a Class 1 Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter, and is prepared to set up and operate a variety of CNC lathes, mills, or mill-turn machines.

Responsibilities :

• Setting up and operating CNC machines to manufacture aerospace parts
• Reading and interpreting blueprints / drawings
• Providing ideas to improve manufacturing and make suggestions for process improvement
• Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery, if needed
• Light / simple program writing, if needed

Skills :

At least 5 years’ experience in tight tolerance manufacturing

Familiarity with Lathe machines – particularly Fanuc Controls - is a big plus

The ability to do some light programming (simple programs at a minimum)

The ability to read manufacturing prints and understand GD&T

The ability to use manual inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, dial bores, etc. Effectively and accurately.

Strong attention to detail

Experience with Mastercam and Autodesk Inventor is a huge plus
