As a Retail Cashier Associate in either the Wings & Pipeline or Center Sundries stores, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences. Your responsibilities include assisting customers with purchases and returns, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, restocking merchandise, and supporting inventory control effortsall while providing friendly, efficient service. Sales include items such as apparel, gear, medicine and alcoholic beverages. All cashiers must obtain a T.I.P.S. off premise liquor license for the state of Utah.
What You'll Do
- Greet and assist guests with purchases to ensure a positive and efficient shopping experience.
- Operate the Square point-of-sale (POS) system to complete transactions, process returns, issue refunds, and handle customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Support inventory management by assisting with stock counts and inventory organization.
- Stock and restock merchandise, including clothing and sundries, ensuring proper product rotation (FIFO) and presentation.
- Maintain store cleanliness by vacuuming, dusting, straightening displays, and performing general upkeep of the retail shop.
- Work independently to maintain a high level of productivity with minimal supervision.
- Follow all customer service guidelines and resort standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Follow Utah State Laws regarding the sale of alcohol
- Accurately complete routine accounting procedures.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor.
What You Need To Get The Job Done
Must be at least 21 years of age to sell alcoholic beverages.E.A.S.Y. off-premises alcohol sales training certification (or ability to obtain).High school diploma or equivalent required.Ability to learn and use retail POS systems, inventory scanners, and other store equipment.Basic computer and typing skills; familiarity with retail software preferred.Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and resolve common customer service issues within established guidelines.Responsible for the care and routine maintenance reporting of store equipment.Able to communicate clearly, remain professional under pressure, and adapt to a fast-paced resort environment.A positive attitude and teamwork mentality.A general knowledge of winter sports (or a willingness to learn) will be necessary to provide guests with information needed to make purchases and navigate the resort. A cashier is one of the most guest-facing roles on the team and needs to be a professional, informed and friendly representation of Snowbird.Loves the snow!Work Schedule
Full-Time and Part-Time SeasonalMust have a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.Shifts vary, early morning or late evening, weekends, and holidays, depending on business levels.Specific Shift : Must have flexibility to work between 8am and 8pm daily.Working Conditions
Must be prepared to stay overnight during occasional road closures due to weather or emergency conditions.Will work in a high-traffic, guest-facing environment, which may include periods of increased stress, especially during peak seasons or inclement weather.Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.Requires prolonged periods of standing and frequent physical activity, including bending, kneeling, reaching, grasping, and repetitive movements.Work may involve frequent interruptions and moderate noise levels, requiring strong focus and adaptability.Must be able to commute reliably in winter mountain conditions.Why Work Here
