Quality Engineer

Company : Confidential Client

Location : On-site

Job Type : Full-time

Salary Range : $70,000 – $90,000 per year

Position Overview

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet internal and external quality standards. This role involves managing quality documentation, overseeing PPAP submissions, maintaining data collection systems, and working closely with internal teams and customers to resolve quality concerns. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) evaluations and submissions.
  • Develop and maintain the Datamyte Data Collection System on a weekly basis and generate detailed reports for department managers.
  • Identify, document, and report critical quality issues to the Quality Manager and relevant management personnel.
  • Communicate directly with customers to investigate and resolve quality-related problems.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Teams to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
  • Conduct failure analyses on suspect samples and perform evaluations of third-party suppliers when required.
  • Support compliance with all applicable quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production quality environment.
  • Strong understanding of PPAP, FMEA, APQP, and quality control methodologies.
  • Experience with Datamyte or similar data collection systems is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners.
