American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry Float position in acute care, requiring a WA or compact RN license and 2 years of acute care experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in acute care settings across multiple Med / Surg and Telemetry unitsPatient population includes surgical, medical, neuro, ortho / spine, cardiac, COVID, and oncology casesUnits include surgical, neuro, ortho / spine, cardiac short stay, med / surg oncology, and ER transition zonesExpected to float between units and potentially across Region Two hospital locations as neededRN patient ratios are typically 4-5 patients per nurseWill be scheduled for 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requiredPossible on-call requirements up to 4 times during the contractUses Epic EMR; Epic experience is preferredMonitored telemetry strips read and verified by RNsRequired to titrate drips following med / surg guidelines (e.g., insulin, heparin, nitro, dobutamine, dopamine, cardizem)Duties include patient assessment, monitoring, and administration of titratable dripsExpected to float to any med / surg or telemetry floor and support alternate units when neededMay be assigned as a CNA or entry screener if staffing requires4-hour orientation provided on each main med / surg unitNo specific scrub color requiredHouse Supervisor and Charge RN support provided on each unitHoliday coverage for 1-2 winter holidays is requiredFirst time travelers may be consideredTwo professional references required : one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years\n \n Requirements\n
