Skilled in blueprint interpretation, process troubleshooting, and project management. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Automation Engineer Cary, IL Direct Hire $100-110K yrly 100% onsite
Are you passionate about designing and implementing automation solutions that improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and drive innovation? We're looking for a hands-on Automation Engineer to join our team in Cary, IL. This role will focus on automation system design, PLC programming, and equipment integration within a high-speed production environment.
What You'll Do
- Design, program, and troubleshoot automation systems, including PLC controls (Allen-Bradley required; Siemens a plus).
- Lead automation projects that improve quality, reduce costs, and increase efficiency across production.
- Integrate robotics, sensors, and new technologies into existing equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and training to technicians.
- Support production by diagnosing and resolving controls / automation issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and process optimization.
