Sampson Regional Medical Center isseeking a dedicated and skilled MRI Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This role involves operating MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostic evaluations.

Essential Functions :

  • Perform MRI scans on patients according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during the imaging process.
  • Maintain and operate MRI equipment, performing routine checks and troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide diagnostic evaluations.
  • Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in all procedures.
  • Document patient information, imaging results, and any relevant medical history accurately.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of FDA safety standards, cardiac pacemakers, and other contraindicated items upon entering the magnetic field.
  • Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and best practices in the field.

Requirements :

  • ARRT registry in MRI.
  • BLS certification.
  • Ability to perform DEXA preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program required.
  • Valid certification in MRI technology from an accredited program.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
  • Experience or familiarity with additional imaging modalities such as CT, DEXA scan, or sonography is preferred.
  • Proficient understanding of aseptic techniques and safety protocols in a clinical environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations with attention to detail and accuracy. Join us in providing exceptional care through advanced medical imaging technology!
  • Hours :

    Weekly schedule will consist of (4) 10-hour shifts, totaling a 40-hour work week. No weekends. May work other hours for the effective operation of the Radiology department.
