Job Description :

Summary : We are looking for a Tableau Cloud Admin who is passionate about applying technology to help people make better decisions with data. The core function of this role is to ensure the health of Tableau & other applications that form the basis for all our data integration, data science, and advanced analytic work that we do for the entire company family of businesses.

This professional coordinates with the principal architect to oversee end-to-end architecture, as well as enhance and maintain business intelligence solutions. Responsible for the support of enterprise-wide Tableau Cloud and application architecture. Provides recommendations on the implementation of new features to enhance platform capabilities. Solves complex business delivery problems. Requires minimal oversight and can develop advanced analytical solutions with minimal guidance.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Delivering Value :

  • Administer multiple sites on a Tableau Cloud tenant, including managing user licenses and permissions, deploying changes to production reporting, and implementing platform level changes
  • Monitor the usage of assets in the tenant and perform quarterly reviews to determine if there is content that should be removed
  • Upgrade & administer a stable highly available tableau cluster guaranteed for high operational activities and optimize the operational challenges and tune systems
  • Stay informed of upcoming features for Tableau Cloud and provide recommendations regarding implementation and standards
  • Assist in developing training or documentation materials about the new features to the platform to rollout to users
  • Review current structures and permissions to be able to recommend improvements to our governance practices
  • Provide top notch support and quality engagement to user\'s inquiries via conversations as well as through a ticketing system
  • Regularly work with Tableau Premium support for new enhancements and product related issue resolution
  • Develop and document standards and best practices to support Tableau development and administration
  • Manage user security for new and existing BI tools in compliance with all audit requirements
  • Create scripts to work with Tableau Cloud and Server APIs to automate workflows and extract monitoring data
  • Work within the team and customer stakeholders to support the design and development of performance scorecards, workbooks, and dashboard reports

  • Building prototypes for demonstrations and illustration purposes
  • Tableau Cloud and Server monitoring usage / activity (identifying potential performance issues)

  • Build & deploy highly available BI environments, optimize the operational challenges and tune systems

  • Qualifications Required :

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to concisely convey analytical interpretation and / or data issues to affected members of departments.
  • Self-directed professional with a hunger to continually learn and grow.
  • Experience with installation, configuration, upgrade, patches, maintenance, and regression testing of enterprise-level Tableau Server distributed environments.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Tableau software (Desktop, Cloud, Server, Prep), with a strong understanding of Tableau architecture and administration.
  • Operational expertise in troubleshooting, monitoring, understanding bottlenecks, basics of system architecture, Operating systems, Virtualization platforms, network, storage, and disaster recovery tools
  • Experience with automation for tasks like deployment of data sources / workbooks across environment, alerts via scripting.
  • Experience in creating monitoring & Audit Reports.
  • Ability to work on multiple client projects in cross-functional teams, competing priorities, and ensure follow-through on committed deliverables.
  • Preferred :

  • Demonstrate credibility, competence, and the ability to manage through influence.
  • Strong analytical, logic, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Experience in previous administration of other BI and data management platforms like Fivetran, Snowflake, and dbt
  • Familiarity with Azure Monitoring, Azure Portal, and Cost Management
  • Working knowledge on any of the key ETL / data pipeline market tools such as Python, dbt is preferred.
  • Advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Visio; must have expert functional knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with JIRA / GitHub or other code management toolsets and with change control concepts.
  • Familiarity with the Salesforce platform, Salesforce Data Cloud in particular
