Position : Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Location : Maryville, Illinois (zip 62062) – Southern Illinois nursing jobs

Contract Type : Travel Nursing

Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 10 / 2025 – End : 2 / 9 / 2026)

Shifts : Night shifts, 12 hours (19 : 00 – 07 : 00)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Coverage : Every third weekend (as needed and agreed upon)

Unit : Emergency Department (Combined Adult / Pediatric)

Patient Ratios : 1 : 4

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1760–$1890

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (required at time of submission)

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS

Experience with MediTech charting system preferred

Ability to provide clinical support for patients of all ages : neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics

First-time travel nurses welcome!

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive emergency care to diverse patient populations

Perform and assist with standard ED procedures : IV starts, phlebotomy, procedural sedation, blood product administration, central line care

Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases

Respond to trauma cases : CVA, ortho-trauma, head injury, near drowning, and more

Maintain isolation precautions and infection control standards

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams : respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services

Document patient care accurately using MediTech

Utilize Pyxis for medication administration and Vocera for communication
