Internal Medicine Physician

Coverage Needed Start Date : ASAP Start (credentialing est. at 90 days) 6 month to 1 year initial duration Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM Clinical Details Outpatient only Daily Patient Census : 18 patients per day Call : Balanced call ratio split between physicians and sites Access to state-of-the-art equipment and comprehensive resources Support Staff : Collaborative team of physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) Primary Responsibilities : Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment Recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition Monitors lab results, medication adherence and medication toxicities Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccinations, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury Explain and discuss procedures, test results, or prescribed treatment with the patient Refers patients to medical specialists when necessary Collaborate and manage APPs Requirements Board-certified in Internal Medicine Licensed to practice medicine in California MD or DO degree Proven experience in a primary care setting
