Job Description

Position Summary & Objective

A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) programmer develops and modifies computer programs to control the operation of CNC machines, translating blueprints and design specifications into instructions for the machine to cut and shape materials into desired forms. They work with software, choose cutting tools, and ensure the machine functions correctly and produces high-quality parts.

Essential Functions Performed by the Position

Interpreting Blueprints and Designs :

• Understanding technical drawings, specifications, and design models to determine the desired shape, dimensions, and tolerances of the final product.

Developing CNC Programs :

Choosing Cutting Tools and Fixtures :

Setting Up and Adjusting Machines :

Testing and Troubleshooting :

Staying Current with Technology :
