Position Overview

As a Readmission Advisor at Galen College of Nursing, you will assist students reenrolling at the College by providing a clear understanding of items needed along with timely collection of documents to provide the opportunity to complete their Nursing education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in timely communication with withdrawing and non-active students using College information systems to identify next steps for students.
  • Facilitate communication as needed for approval for student re-entry.
  • Guide students through process with consistent follow-up to become an active student.
  • Clearly communicate responsibilities to the student on the steps to be enrolled.
  • Identify and create plan for financial obligations.
  • Recognize and assist students to be prepared to have all necessary documentation completed for clinical courses.
  • Accurately record student data that identifies student start dates.
  • Initiate student success pathway by informing Academic Progress Coach of new enrollments.
  • Meet with students virtually and coordinate with Campus staff for possible in person needs.
  • Attend regular update meetings that identify and follow student progression.
  • Assist student in becoming familiar with Self-Service.

Position Requirements

  • Education : Bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
  • Experience : Experience in using Microsoft office products and multi-media platforms. Experience with Ellucian Colleague and Recruit a benefit.
  • Special Qualifications : The ability to effectively manage one's time while communicating needs to a diverse population in a positive manner. This person must be passionate with helping students and the College meet their goals of successfully educating future Nurses. Must be willing to learn all Galen programs to assist each Campus within the organization.
  • Physical Demands : Must have the ability to sit at a desk for 8 hours each day.
