Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Estimator to support growing construction and maintenance operations. This is a full-time hybrid position based in the NYC metropolitan area, offering flexibility with partial remote work.

The Project Estimator will play a key role in developing accurate cost estimates, coordinating with internal teams and vendors, and ensuring competitive and successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze project plans, drawings, and scopes to produce accurate cost estimates

Prepare quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work

Collaborate with Project Managers, Field Supervisors, and vendors to confirm pricing and feasibility

Review RFPs and bid opportunities; prepare and submit complete bid packages

Track budgets, project costs, and change orders through all phases

Conduct site visits to assess conditions and collect field data

Maintain pricing databases, labor rates, and subcontractor / vendor records

Participate in project meetings to clarify estimation assumptions and scope

Help improve internal estimating tools, templates, and processes

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in construction estimating, project management, or cost analysis

Solid knowledge of construction materials, labor productivity, and building systems

Proficient in estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar)

Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data-driven budgets

Clear communication skills with a collaborative mindset

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred)

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a hybrid environment
