Compliance Investigator

As a Workers' Compensation Compliance Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting investigations regarding allegations of uninsured employers in the Commonwealth, as well as employers who have not responded to Bureau requests for information. This position requires you to have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Workers' Compensation Act and regulations as you will be handling inquiries as well as educating businesses and employers regarding their responsibilities. Additional duties include, but are not limited to :
- Conducting on-site evaluations of employers' compliance with Workers' Compensation laws
- Reviewing Employers' Report of Injury for potential injuries sustained to minors
- Preparing investigation and activity reports completely and accurately
- Filing criminal complaints and testifying in court proceeding
- Meeting the Bureau's customer service standards during interactions with internal and external customers
- Working with the Workers' Compensation Automation and Integration System (WCAIS) and standard Commonwealth software including Microsoft Office Suite and Employee Self Service (ESS)
Work Schedule and Additional Information :
Full-time employmentWork hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework : You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of the training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.New employees are expected to be onsite for the first four weeks of employment. This time could be extended to ensure training is completed. At that point, new employees may transition to part-time telework with supervisor approval. Minimum Experience and Training Requirements : Four years of clerical work in the review, research, and presentation of records, correspondence, and documents, including two years of public contact experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two years of public contact experience.Other Requirements : You must meet the PA residency requirement.
