Job Duties and Responsibilities
Schedules room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coveragePerforms all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaningVerifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shiftRandomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness and inspects them to verify brand standards are being met.Coach, counsel, and provide corrective action to housekeeping associates on performance not meeting expectations and discrepancies found in roomsNotifies GM and / or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairs necessary in rooms or on propertyInterviews, hires, develops, and disciplines direct employeesPerform property walk and report identified deficienciesParticipates in scheduling employees to business demands and tracking employee time and attendanceSupervises staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are metManages Housekeeping inventory, ensuring that team has dedicated tools, supplies, and resources to complete assigned tasks and work.Other duties as assigned.Education and Experience
High School Diploma / GED. Post high school education preferredMinimum of 2 years in housekeeping leadership experienceKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Basic math skillsHMS and / or experience using a property management system (PMS)Microsoft Office experienceAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingStrong leadership skillsAbility to exceed expectations of guests and team membersExcellent time management skillsThe hiring process may consist of a phone interview, manager(s) interview, drug screen, background check, reference checks, and potential employment assessment.
