Contract Surety Underwriter - Plantation City, FL Underwrite risks in a book of contract construction and corporate commercial surety bond business while developing and nurturing assigned agency and broker relationships.

• Manage assigned portfolio to achieve gross written premium, profitability, rate, retention, and new business goals.
• Review full range of financial information to determine acceptability of risk in accordance with company guidelines and standards.
• Utilize pricing components, rating methodology, and predictive modeling tools to price risk based on financial and competitive analysis.
• Prepare and analyze information on adverse underwriting decisions, rate appeals, underwriting requirements, status, and declinations to drive results within the assigned territory.
• Develop agent and broker relationships to build pipeline, collect agency intelligence, and drive performance.
• Drive relationship management and customer activities to build trust, facilitate negotiation, and secure commitment.
• Develop and implement agent and broker specific plans, monitor performance, and adjust plan to ensure substantial pipeline for future profitable growth.
• Identify cross sell opportunities and create growth within other lines of business and customer segments.
