Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN in Oregon, requiring an active OR license and recent Epic and trauma experience.
Responsibilities
Work in the Emergency Department of a Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospitalPatient population includes trauma, acute stroke, STEMI, psychological emergencies, sepsis, and cases with substance abuse or complex historiesStandard patient ratios are 1 : 3-4Procedures include moderate and deep sedation, ultrasound, intubation, cardioversion, D&C’s, sexual assault exams, CPR, and imminent deliveriesShift options are 3x12-hour nights, starting at 1700-0530 or 1900-0730Weekend shifts are requiredFloating within the hospital required; no floating to other hospitalsCharting is done using Epic, and recent Epic experience is requiredResponsibilities include assessment, planning, and coordination of ED care and consultationsWork in a Magnet designated facility with a collaborative team environmentScrubs must be solid color with no prints; OR scrubs are providedPrestart modules must be completed before first shiftReturn staff must be away for at least 6 months prior to returning as a travelerMaximum of 1 week RTO allowed; all RTO must be declared up frontLocals are accepted at the same rate as travelersMandatory compliance documentation must be completed 1 week prior to start; labs required within 48 hours of signingParking is available at a daily rateRequirements
Active OR RN license required or proof of application submitted to the state boardMinimum 2 years of ED RN experience requiredRecent Epic charting and trauma experience requiredCertifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS required; TNCC preferredMust provide two supervisor references from within the last 24 months, or one within 24 months and one within 3-5 years if neededCOVID-19 vaccination required with no exemptionsTravelers must have previous travel experience if Epic experience was not recentNo background or license issues acceptedBenefits
