Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Missile Defense Threat Analyst to join our Team. This role requires the individual be knowledgeable of the physical and operational characteristics of the ballistic and hypersonic missile threats to the United States and our allies and the capability to translate this knowledge into performance and operational requirements for U.S. and allied Missile Defense systems and test assets being developed to counter this threat. This effort includes the execution of independent assessment of requirements compliance.
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as Ballistic Missile Threat Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Requirements Development : The individual will serve as the threat SME to a variety of Missile Defense System (MDS) requirements development efforts. In this role, the individual will be responsible for performing threat system performance analysis in order to generate resultant operational and objective performance requirements for MDS components and test assets.
- Requirements Compliance Assessment : The individual will be responsible for review and assessment of MDS component and test requirements to assess their consistency with existing and future missile threats. This effort will include top-level analytical and detailed, data-driven efforts to provide evidence-based evaluations of threat requirements compliance.
Daily Operations
Daily interaction with a combined government – contractor teamParticipation in requirements development working groups meetings and system development design reviewsDevelopment of threat requirements documentationExecution of independent technical analysis using data assessment tools and documentation of the results of this effort.Required Experience and Technical Skills
In-depth knowledge of the world-wide offensive ballistic and hypersonic missile threatExcellent oral and written communication skillsExperience working in a Windows 365-based environment with the ability to develop documents and briefingsAbility to conduct data analysis using Windows and / or Linux-based databases. Capable of developing data analysis scripts and plotting the resulting output.12+ years experience working large scale, complex Department of Defense or similar programsEducation
