We are seeking Maintenance Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on various equipment and systems within the facility. This position also involves supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs for Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) and / or Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB). This is a hands-on role where you’ll work alongside experienced technicians, gain valuable skills, and help ensure critical airport systems run smoothly and safely.
Responsibilities :
- Assist with preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance tasks.
- Perform and support repairs on equipment and building systems.
- Help clear system jams, conduct shift inspections, and perform cleaning, electrical, and mechanical adjustments.
- Diagnose equipment issues under the guidance of senior technicians to ensure systems are operating safely.
- Read and interpret repair manuals, basic schematics, and supervisor instructions.
- Work in tight and / or elevated spaces while using appropriate PPE and fall protection equipment.
- Complete required documentation and safety training.
- Perform additional duties and assignments as required by management.
Requirements :
High School Diploma or GED.At least 1 year of mechanical experience, 1 year of BHS or PBB experience, or the ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test.Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including weekends and holidays.Preferred Qualifications :
Previous experience in maintenance or repair workPrevious work experience in an airport environment.Previous experience working on conveyors and / or passenger boarding bridges.Skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and other building systems.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Computer Skills :
Basic computer skills : ability to log in, check / respond to emails, and complete online training.Other Requirements :
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.Must be able obtain and maintain an Airport Security Badge.Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the Company’s insurance policyMust comply with the ELS Drug and Alcohol policy.Must be committed to working safely while accomplishing all tasks and promoting a safe work environment at all times.Work Environment :
This position is located under the airport terminal, where conditions may include dust, dirt, and continuous background noise (below OSHA’s action level). Physical demands vary daily.
