American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Behavioral Health position requiring at least 2 years of pediatric experience and a valid OK or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Pediatric Behavioral Health unit within a hospital settingPatient population includes children and adolescents with conditions such as Major Depressive Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, developmental delays, and Generalized Anxiety DisorderUnit averages 30 pediatric patients daily, with a 1 : 4 nurse-to-patient ratioThe unit consists of 25 rooms and 50 bedsShifts are either 7 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 00 p.m. or 3 : 00 p.m. to 11 : 00 p.m., and candidates may be scheduled for bothNo on-call requiredUse of Epic for chartingFloating to other units and sister facilities within 75 miles may be requiredResponsibilities include use of physical and chemical restraints, oral medication management, safety checks and assessments, Q15 monitoring, suicide risk screening and close monitoringDaily physical assessments and environmental safety checks requiredMust be able to conduct and document suicide risk assessments, with a minimum patient IQ of 50Blue scrubs are required attireMust complete orientation modules during onboarding, which may range from 2 to 8 hoursCandidates may not request block schedulingNo more than 5 days of requested time off allowed during the contract, with no time off permitted during holidaysFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyTwo supervisory references are required for consideration\n \n Requirements\n
