Position Summary
The Director of Finance oversees all WWI financial activities and provides strategic financial leadership to maintain strong fiscal health. This includes, but is not limited to, directing bookkeeping, accounts payable (A / P), and accounts receivable (A / R) functions, managing cash flow, developing financial policies, and advising the executive team on high-level financial decisions. The Finance Director builds and monitors company-wide budgets, creates reporting systems, manages risk, and leads the finance team to support WWI's and its partner enterprises' long-term growth and stability.
Primary Responsibilities
Accounting Oversight & Reporting
Oversee the scope of work for a third-party accountant, ensuring scope adherence and accuracy of deliverables. This includes ensuring timely month-end closing and processing of A / P and A / R activity and GL journal entries.Review and validate monthly financials, including Profit and Loss by month and department, Balance Sheet by month, and Cash Flow statement by month.Monitor A / R, A / P intercompany billing, and reconciliations.Provide monthly executive summaries and financial dashboards to the CEO and leadership team, highlighting budget variances, cash flow, and spending trends.Ensure payroll accuracy for up to 250 employees across multiple entities, including reconciliation of liabilities (401k, healthcare, benefits, awards).Prepare and manage annual budgets, incorporating the long-term needs of each enterprise.Financial Leadership & Strategy
Lead weekly reviews with the CEO to assess cash flow trends, revenue vs. expenses, large payables, aging receivables, and credit line status.Conduct monthly reviews with COO and GMs to evaluate operations, budgets, billing, costs of sales, and departmental financial performance.Monitor cash flow, revenue trends, expense management, and budget performance to identify risk and opportunities.Lead financial planning and analysis, providing data-driven insights for decision-making and long-term growth.Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company objectives.Manage cash flow, forecasting, and working capital to maintain a healthy balance sheet.Analyze financial trends and implement internal controls to mitigate risk.Maintain relationships with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions.Advise the CEO and COO on financial matters, budgets, and major spending decisions.Support evaluation of capital raising, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), and strategic partnerships through financial due diligence and scenario modeling.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial dashboards across all entities to ensure accountability and informed decision-making.Compliance & Risk Management
Coordinate with external tax preparers to ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of income, property, and gross receipts taxes.Approve supplemental payrolls and bonus distributions.Ensure adherence to GAAP and all federal, state, and local regulations.Develop, maintain, and enforce internal controls, policies, and financial procedures to safeguard company assets.Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies.Stay current on fiscal policies, industry trends, and regulatory changes.Oversee and coordinate annual audits (internal and external), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication with auditors and leadership.Manage insurance and risk financing programs across WWI and its portfolio companies, ensuring adequate coverage, cost efficiency, and compliance with policy requirements.Ideal Candidate

Requirements : Qualifications
An advanced degree, such as an MBA, CFA, or related certification, is preferred.7+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably in a service-based business at companies with $15 - $30M in annual gross revenue.Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and corporate finance principles.Demonstrated experience in cost analysis, employment-related financial modeling, and workforce planning.Proficiency with financial software, ERP systems, Paylocity, Google Workspace, and other types of professional web-based softwareExceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proven ability to build, mentor, and manage high-performing finance and accounting teams.Compensation & Benefits
