Medical Device Assembler

W2 Contract to Hire, Full Benefits

The Medical Device Technician is responsible for building precision medical products according to plans, schematics, and operating manuals. Key to this role is testing and troubleshooting instruments and components and ensuring adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities will include :

• Interpret mechanical assembly drawings and written instructions to assemble, calibrate, align, operate, and maintain diagnostic medical device instruments.
• Read diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electro-mechanical devices.
• Perform setup, calibration, and testing on manufactured devices.
• Clean, troubleshoot, and repair devices to component level.
• Test electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies according to acceptance test procedures and specifications.
• Resolve problems or failures with equipment, devices, and products.
• Report problems with processes, equipment, or materials to management.
• Operate and maintain equipment and machinery used in manufacturing processes.
• Work closely with engineering on beta tests of new products and upgrades to existing products.
• Participate in deviation investigations, audits, and inspections.

Job requirements and skills :

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $23-27 / hour (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
