ER RN Job Details – Columbus, OH Location : Columbus, Ohio 43210 Unit : Emergency Department Observation Unit (CC99437) Job Type : Travel Registered Nurse Assignment Shift : Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 6 / 2025 – End : 1 / 5 / 2026) Patient Age Groups : Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics Nurse-to-Patient Ratio : 1 : 4 Orientation : 36 hours Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,680 - $1,720 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license (Ohio state or compact nursing license required at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system preferred Trauma Level I or II hospital experience preferred Community hospital and LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) experience preferred Two professional references required (at least one from a nurse manager, director, or formal leadership role) ER Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department Observation Unit Monitor telemetry and manage dysrhythmias Provide PCU / Stepdown level care, including IV insulin and heparin protocols Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips Perform blood product administration and tracheostomy management Participate in rapid response teams and wound care / wound vac procedures Manage non-invasive airway support (CPAP / BIPAP, oxygen therapy) Document all patient care using Epic EHR Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services Take the next step in your nursing career with this rewarding ER RN travel job in Columbus, Ohio.
